383rd Quartermaster Detachment Constituted 12 December 1944 in the Army of the United States as the 383rd Quartermaster Refrigeration Detachment. Activated 20 February 1945 in the Philippine Islands. Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1945 as the 383rd Quartermaster Refrigerator Truck Detachment. Inactivated 15 May 1946 in the Philippine Islands. Redesignated 23 April 1965 as 383rd Quartermaster Detachment, and allotted to the Regular Army. Activated 4 May 1965 at Fort Lee, Virginia. Inactivated 15 March 1971 in Vietnam. Activated 20 September 1971 in Vietnam. Inactivated 20 March 1972 in Vietnam. Activated 16 September 1990 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Inactivated 15 October 1992 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
