Colonel
Gary L. Juskowiak entered the army in 1971, commissioned a Second Lieutenant
upon graduation from North
Georgia
College. Following
his service in Armor, Colonel Juskowiak transferred to the Quartermaster Corps
specializing in aerial delivery operations.
In 1973, he served as the Detachment
Commander, Parachute Rigging Detachment, US Army Support Activity -
Thailand
in support of supplying
Cambodia. Other airborne and logistics assignments included Aerial Delivery Operations
Officer, 612th Quartermaster Company, 1st COSCOM, XVIIIth
Airborne Corps, from 1975 to 1976, Company Commander 29th Supply
& Service Company, Baumholder, Germany from 1979-1980, Battalion Commander
142nd Supply & Service Battalion from 1979-1980, Wiesbaden,
Germany , Chief, Quartermaster Officer Assignment Branch, PERSCOM from
1991-1992 and Commander, 46th
Corps Support Group (Airborne), 1st COSCOM, XVIIIth
Airborne Corps, from1993-1995. In 1995, Colonel Juskowiak became the Assistant
Commandant of the Quartermaster
Center
and School serving until 2000 for 4 Quartermaster Generals, the longest-serving
assistant commandant in the school's history.
Colonel Juskowiak was inducted as a
Distinguished Member of the Quartermaster Regiment in 1999.
