LTG Woodrow W. Vaughan, responsible for the
logistical support of American and Allied forces in China during World War II, focused on
Army logistics for 35 years of his 50-year career at every level and in every functional
area. He served as a Quartermaster in research and development, procurement, supply, staff
and command - from Company A in the field to Theater Headquarters, on the Army General
Staff, the Joint Chiefs of Staff; the Army Materiel Gommand, and the Defense Supply
Agency.
